The textured nature of this fascinating piece allows the individual dots to be raised from the canvas. This slight intrusion upon the third dimension adds a subtle reinforcement to the eye-drawing effect of the concentric circles, in essence becoming an optical illusion. The eye is pulled inexorably to the centre of the rings, which could almost be the far end of a tunnel. The metallic sheen of the piece hides several shades of blue silver.
