I am greatly inspired by the Japanese design philosophy of Wabi-Sabi and have dedicated my work to the creation of handmade objects that reflect our own humanity, celebrating the perfectly imperfect aspects of nature. The connection of incorporating metal objects into Zen Gardens fascinates me as, according to the principles of Wabi-Sabi, patinated metal expresses the passage of time and the transient, ephemeral beauty of nature itself.
