The metal gear case and nylon plastic handle maximizes durability. A bright LED is located on the foot of the tool to provide lighting on the workpiece. The Kobalt hammer drill includes a premium Jacobs brand metal 1/2-in ratcheting chuck for increased durability. A 2-position bit holder and metal belt clip are included with mounting positions on both sides of the tool.
